Start from level 1 in The SEO Game:

Here's my 9-level SEO game:
Level 1: Website Audit
- Crawl your website with Screaming Frog
- Analyse each page and assign actions (delete, 301...)
- Find 'quick win' keywords in GSC (position 3-20)
- Test your page speed in PageSpeed Insights
Level 2: Website Optimisation
- Execute technical actions from the audit
- Optimise your 'quick win' keywords from GSC
- Implement internal linking between key pages
- Create lead magnets for pages with existing traffic
Level 3: Competitor Analysis
- Identify your product and SEO competitors
- Enter their domain into Ahrefs (or similar)
- Study (and steal) their SEO strategies
- Conduct a 'gap analysis' vs your site
Level 4: Customer Research
- Send a survey to your customers with key questions
- Take 5 calls with power users to learn their pain points
- Collect customer research from the internet
- Create a document with all your findings
Level 5: Keyword Research
- Create a list of 'seed' keywords for further research
- Export all keywords from Ahrefs from your 'seeds'
- Import keywords in Keyword Insights for clustering
- Select topics to target in your content plan
Level 6: Content Production
- Start at the bottom funnel (comparisons, best of...)
- Move to the middle funnel (how-tos, templates...)
- Scale your top funnel (use Byword for programmatic)
Level 7: Backlink Acquisition
- Reach out to 10 influencers/websites for guest posts
- Create 3 linkable assets (statistics, infographics...)
- Submit your site to 10+ relevant directories/listings
- Track and monitor your backlink profile with Ahrefs
Level 8: Performance Tracking
- Ensure GA tracking and GSC are set up correctly
- Build a Looker Studio dashboard with this data
- Perform monthly competitor benchmarking
- Refine your SEO strategy based on this data
Level 9: Content Tuning
- Monitor your content and 'quick win' keywords
- Update content to better optimise for your topics
- Create lead magnets to convert traffic into emails
- Run A/B tests for CTAs to better convert traffic
